We are working on behalf of a renowned private equity fund, which is willing to expand their team with an Investment Manager (m/f). The successful team consists of former bulge bracket investment bankers, who invest in a wide range of mid-cap industries in the DACH region. For this challenging position, we are looking for a person who works well in a very entrepreneurial organization and is willing to participate in and contribute to all aspects of the deal process.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate qualitatively and quantitatively potential private equity investments including performing detailed sector and company research and analysis
- Conduct financial modelling, data analysis, due diligence and assist with deal execution and transaction management
- Mandate, manage and coordinate external consultants and advisers
- Support negotiations of transaction documentation with support from internal and external legal advisors
- Structure and raise debt financing
- Prepare materials for partners, investment committee and other internal meetings
- Engage with the board of portfolio companies as needed
Your Profile
- Top academic credentials from a national or an international business school
- 2-4 years of professional experience either in a top-notch Investment Bank, Private Equity firm or Strategy Consultancy
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong desire to learn and succeed
- Thorough knowledge of modelling skills, preparation of written investment memorandum as well as presentation materials, and the ability to conduct independent research and make investment recommendations
- Able to complete projects on time and accurately and be able to multitask
- Strong work ethic, capable of working in a high performing team, professional demeanor and appearance
- Strong written and oral communications skills and a proficiency in German and English
