Vice President – Debt Advisory (m/f/d)

Our client, an integral part of a successful Investment Banking team, is looking for a Vice President – Debt Advisory (m/f/d). This is an excellent challenge for a strong Associate or Vice President with at least 5 years of relevant experience to work in a highly entrepreneurial and inspiring environment.

Your responsibilities

• Support origination and execution of debt advisory mandates for financial sponsors and corporates
• Play an integral role within the team and support the day-to-day running of marketing initiatives as well as transactions
• Monitor supporting materials including pitch books, deal teasers, management presentations, information memorandum as well as other supporting documentation and analysis
• Review financial models, conduct industry and company research and analysis
• Maintain deal pipeline and monitor latest debt market developments
• Develop relationships with relevant financial institutions (banks, debt funds, etc)
• Contribute to the development of relationships with corporates and financial sponsors
• Train and manage associates and analysts

Your profile

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Mathematics, and excellent academic results
• Min. 5 years relevant experience in debt advisory, leveraged finance, acquisition finance, structured finance, debt capital / loan markets or investment banking
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent knowledge of financial modelling
• Detailed knowledge of key principles of financial analysis methodology and best practice approach, and adequate familiarity with the European loan / debt capital markets
• Confident team player with a proven ability to build constructive professional relationships with internal and external parties at all levels
• Proven first class organisational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of defined tasks to contribute to transaction
• Demonstrated problem solving and accuracy skills in a fast-paced work environment
• Outstanding communication, presentation and writing skills
• Fluency in both German and English
